Dice? No Dice!
A downloadable game for Windows
Dice? No Dice!
A tactical roguelike defense game inspired by tabletop RPG combat.
Defend your gold against increasingly dangerous enemy waves using strategic positioning, powerful modifiers, and turn-based combat mechanics inspired by classic DnD systems.
Every run evolves differently.
Every modifier reshapes the rules.
Every decision can end the run.
How far can you push the system before it breaks?
Gameplay Overview
Enemies advance toward your gold through structured waves.
Your defenders intercept them.
When they engage combat begins.
Combat uses DND-inspired mechanics:
- Initiative
- Attack rolls
- Armor class
- Damage rolls
- Manual target selection
- Dice-driven outcomes
This is not a reaction game.
This is a decision game.
Run Modifiers
At the start of each run — and after bosses — you choose one modifier.
Modifiers permanently alter how the run plays.
They can:
- Make enemies stronger
- Change combat rules
- Increase risk for reward
- Break balance in unexpected ways
Stack enough modifiers and become invincible.
Between Rounds
After each round you enter the shop.
Here you adapt your build:
- Upgrade defenders
- Improve dice outcomes
- Gain strategic advantages
- Synergize with modifiers
The shop is random so adaptation is mandatory.
Losing
There is no tower health.
If enemies reach the gold pile, the run ends immediately.
This makes:
- Positioning
- Targeting
- Modifier choice
- Upgrade synergy
absolutely critical.
Core Philosophy
Dice? No Dice! is about:
- Strategic mastery
- System exploitation
- Roguelike experimentation
- Emergent difficulty
- Build creativity
- Controlled chaos
Development Status
The game is in active development.
